Acetylene Lamp is a recurring villain from Tezuka's works, making an appearance as a recurring villain in "Astro Boy", and as the villain of episode 9 of Jetter Mars.
Story[]
Acetylene Lamp is a space trader who learned about Dr. Yamanoue's demise and them he deceived Mars into helping him lying that he knew where Dr. Yamanoue was, since nobody knew that he was alive or not.
Later, Mars learned of Lamp's true purpose restrained him and left Lamp to be sent to the authorities.

Lamp as his previous incarnations have a candle located in a notch found in his head, it mainly appears for comical relief.
