Hyoutan-tsugi (ひょうたんつぎ Hyōtan-tsugi) is a creation by Osamu Tezuka that appears throughout many of his works. Hyoutan-tsugi is a small creature that resembles a pig. Hyoutan-tsugi has kind of become Osamu Tezuka's signature, as he appears in just about every single work that Osamu Tezuka, or his company worked on. He will usually appear when a character is embarrassed or angry, or sometimes as a background character. He also appears in the credits for Jetter Mars.
