This episode uses a lot of the plot from "The Artificial Sun" episode of Astro Boy.
Plot[]
In the episode, an unidentified flying object is attacking countless locations, and the Minister of Science hires Jam Bond, and Jetter Mars to help solve this mystery. Jam Bond ends up not liking Mars, not even shaking his hand, and eventually abandons him at a clothing shop. Mars runs into the unidentified flying object and is frozen and captured.
It's revealed that the machine is controlled by a man who remains unnamed. It's also revealed that the machine is controlled via Xylophone, and is called "The Artificial Sun". Jam Bond tracks down Dr. Kawashimo and consults him about the blueprints being designed by him and Dr. Yamanoue. After explaining that The Artificial Sun's original purpose was for space travel, so they could safely investigate really hot planets, they're attacked by the group who's controlling the machine, Jam Bond and Dr. Kawashimo hide, but the gang finds Dr. Kawashimo and kidnaps him. After landing it's revealed that while they were hiding, Jam Bond put on a disguise, Jam Bond then attacks all of them!
It's revealed here that Jam Bonds Body is that of a robot, but his brain remains human. This is why Jam Bond refused to shake Mars' hand, he didn't want everyone to know he was a robot. But, despite being a cyborg, Jam Bond is losing. It's then that Mars tricks a different robot into thawing him, and he goes to help Jam Bond. The machine freezes the land, causing Jam Bond to pass out, and Mars is barely able to throw the machine into space, Mars ends up being frozen, and falls back into Earth. After recovering, Jetter Mars goes to see Jam Bond, who had just come out from having his brain turned into machinery as well, but surprisingly, Jam Bond is completely okay with it, seeing Jetter Mars' bravery and sacrifice. He finally shakes Jetter Mars' hand.
