Story[]
The Mad Mask (マッドマスク maddomasuku) is said to be "The Greatest Robot in the World" and a "Pro Fighter Robot" which is why in episode 03: "Why is Mars crying?" Dr. Yamanoue has Jetter Mars fight Mad Mask to prove that Mars is the ultimate war machine, though Dr. Yamanoue does seem worried Mars might lose. Mars wins, however, but only because he accidentally hurt his friend Kuru, and in the Mad Mask's words: became "not hostile". He later ordered a rematch, holding Kuru hostage; coincidentally right as the ice that froze the Lava by the dam was melting. Mad Mask ends up Sacrificing himself to hold the dam up, causing Mars to cry.

Personality & Abilities[]
Mad Mask is a fierce fighter, but he has no fighting spirit. He has a strong sense of honor but he dislikes fighting. He will only back down from a fight if his opponent shows an unwillingness to fight. He would sacrifice himself for the better good if necessary. Mad Mask has spring-loaded legs and can use his cape as a flying carpet. He also demonstrates super-strength

Mad Masks appearance is similar to that of Pluto from the Astro Boy series.
